Immigration Advice and Rights Centre (IARC)

IARC provides free information, legal advice and representation to people in New South Wales in relation to family and humanitarian migration, citizenship and visa cancellations, with a particular focus on assisting people on temporary visas who have experienced family violence. Our clients are financially disadvantaged, come from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and frequently have low level English language skills. Many experience multiple layers of disadvantage including homelessness, low education levels and disability. They have often experienced torture and trauma. IARC also works to promote a fairer immigration system through community education, law reform and contribution to policy.
